Objectives

In order to promote the implementation of precision agriculture in South-East Asia, it is necessary to equip experts, teachers, students, business and public stakeholders and farmers themselves with adequate knowledge and skills to effectively apply in practice. In this context, a special role is played by Southern Asian Universities (S-A HEI) in ensuring the knowledge transfer for the implementation of precision agriculture, who are the bearers of the dissemination of knowledge. However, they often lack resources to modernize quickly. Cooperation with and assistance from EU universities through Erasmus+ is of vital importance for partner universities and their countries. The modernisation of higher education in the field of application of modern geospatial technologies for precision agriculture is aligned with the EU strategies and priorities.

PASEC address the general objectives of the CBHE Call, as the project aims to:

  • To enhance food security by developing precision agriculture using modern digital technologies.

  • To build a knowledge base through innovation and technology transfer to drive socioeconomic development, boost national competitiveness, and strengthen graduates’ technical skills and competencies.

  • To improve teachers’ competencies and skills in S-A HEI’s and promote knowledge transfer to the business sector through training programs, new or modernized and Lifelong Learning (LLL) courses opportunities
