Kasetsart University (KU)
Kasetsart University (abbreviated : KU) is the first state-run higher education institution in Thailand to offer education and training in agriculture. It was initially founded as the Silk Weaving School in 1904 which later renamed the Agricultural School and merged with the Cartography School and the Canal Department School to become the Agricultural School. In 1913, the School was merged with the Civil Service School and in 1917 re-established as the Primary Agricultural Teacher Training School, before being renamed the Agricultural Secondary School and later upgraded to the College of Agriculture. Subsequently, the government reformed and merged the College of Agriculture in Bangkok with the Forestry School in Phrae Province to officially become Kasetsart University in 1943.
Initially, Kasetsart University offered only agricultural studies, but later expanded its academic disciplines to cover agriculture, science, health science, engineering, education, social sciences, humanities, business administration, economics, and medicine.
Currently, Kasetsart University has five campuses: Bangkhen (Bangkok) Main Campus, Kamphaeng Saen Campus (Nakhon Pathom Province), Sriracha Campus (Chon Buri Province), Chalerm Phra Kiat Sakon Nakhon Campus (Sakon Nakhon Province), and Suphan Buri Campus (Suphan Buri Province). Kasetsart University comprises 29 faculties, 3 colleges, 3 faculty establishment projects, and 1 affiliated institute. Kasetsart University has offered 583 courses, 42 of which are international courses. In addition, the university has established research institutes in various provinces to conduct research in various fields.

Kasetsart University – Faculty of Agriculture
The Faculty of Agriculture was among the first four faculties (Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Forestry, Faculty of Fisheries, and the Faculty of Cooperative Science) founded at the inception of Kasetsart University in 1943. Main goals of the Faculty of Agriculture are to achieve excellence in education and research regarding agriculture in Thailand. It has established high standards for teaching, research, and related academic services that produce graduates who have the knowledge, skills and ethical judgment to engage in innovative research in the agricultural sciences and agricultural technology that benefits society and ensures a sustainable global economy.
The Faculty of Agriculture comprises 9 Departments as follows: Department of Entomology, Department of Farm Mechanics, Department of Home Economics, Department of Soil Science, Department of Agronomy, Department of Horticulture, Department of Plant Pathology, Department of Agricultural Extension and Communication, and Department of Animal Science. Faculty of Agriculture offers opportunities to faulty members, researchers and students to conduct research work at its research stations and centers as follows: Doi Pui Research Station (Chiang Mai Province), Phetchabun Research Station (Phetchabun Province), Lop Buri Research Station (Lop Buri Province), Farming Research and Development Station (Lop Buri Province), Khao Hin Sorn Research Station (Chachoengsao Province), Pak Chong Research Station (Nakhon Ratchasima Province (Horticulture)), Tubkwang Research Station (Saraburi Province (Animal Science)), and National Corn and Sorghum Research Center (Nakhon Ratchasima Province).
