Today, 28 October 2026, the Erasmus+ PASEC project brings together stakeholders in the Maldives for the National Stakeholder Workshop: âFrom Needs and Competences to Curriculum Modernization.â
Hosted by Maldives National University (MNU), the workshop will gather representatives from higher education, industry, public authorities and other relevant sectors to discuss the knowledge and competences needed to respond to current and future challenges in precision agriculture, environmental sustainability, and digital and geospatial technologies.
The programme will present key PASEC results so far, including the partner and stakeholder needs analysis, the Catalogue of Competences, and plans for curriculum modernisation.
Participants will also explore the Maldivian national context through invited presentations and thematic roundtable discussions, helping to identify priority competences and formulate recommendations for future higher education programmes.
The outcomes of the workshop will directly contribute to the next stages of curriculum development within PASEC, helping ensure that future programmes respond to the needs of stakeholders and support sustainable development, technological innovation and climate resilience in the Maldives.
