Three National Stakeholder Workshops Ahead – Shaping the Future of Education through PASEC!

The PASEC project is entering an exciting new phase! Three National Stakeholder Workshops will bring together representatives from academia, industry, public institutions, and other relevant sectors in the Maldives, Indonesia, and Thailand to contribute to the modernization of higher education curricula.

Under the common theme “From Needs and Competences to Curriculum Modernization,” these workshops will provide an opportunity to discuss the knowledge, skills, and competences needed by future professionals working in precision agriculture, geospatial technologies, and sustainable environmental management.

Three Countries – Three National Stakeholder Workshops
The workshops will take place in three PASEC partner countries:

- Maldives | 28 October 2026
- Indonesia | 29 October 2026
- Thailand | 5 November 2026

Although each workshop will address the specific needs and priorities of its national context, all three share a common objective: to ensure that future educational programmes respond to real-world challenges, technological developments, and labour market needs.

Connecting Education with Real-World Needs
Building on the results of the PASEC project's analyses of educational needs, existing curricula, and required competences, the workshops will encourage dialogue between higher education institutions and key stakeholders.

Participants will have the opportunity to share their perspectives, identify emerging challenges, and provide valuable feedback on the proposed framework of competences.

The workshops will focus on:
- Presenting the key findings of the PASEC needs assessment and competence analysis.
- Discussing the knowledge and skills required in precision agriculture, geospatial technologies, and sustainable environmental management.
- Collecting stakeholder feedback to support the refinement and validation of the PASEC Catalogue of Competences.
- Identifying priorities and opportunities for curriculum modernization at partner universities.
- Strengthening cooperation between universities, industry, public institutions, and other relevant stakeholders.

Your Experience Matters – Join the Discussion!

The future of education should be shaped not only by universities but also by those who apply knowledge and technologies in practice.

That is why the active participation of stakeholders is essential to the success of the PASEC project.

Whether you are an academic, researcher, industry professional, policymaker, or practitioner, your experience and insights can help shape educational programmes that prepare future generations to address technological, environmental, and climate-related challenges.

The outcomes of these workshops will contribute directly to the next stages of the PASEC project, supporting the development of modern, relevant, and practice-oriented curricula at partner universities.
